The time of Exile is the lowest part of Judah’s history. Three waves of deportations took people to Babylon. The king of Babylon is selective about who he deports. He only wants the young, educated, and strong. Those that will be useful to him. Daniel is a talented man who knows the voice of God and how to decipher dreams and visions. He rises in power and plays a significant role in the period of Exile.
