Erik Simshauser wrote a letter of support published in the West Linn Tidings on April 16, 2015:
I have enjoyed the tremendous opportunity to participate in several citizen committees and task forces convened by the city of West Linn. In the process, I have observed firsthand the commitment of city staff, elected officials, as well as a great many residents who are genuinely interested in working together to make West Linn an even better place to live and work.
One such resident, committee member, and most recently, City Council member is Thomas Frank. Thomas is a tireless advocate for this community that we call home. I know him to be a friend and neighbor who is concerned about the safety and well-being of my family.
I know him to be dedicated to sustainable infrastructure and economic development. And I know him to be a willing listener and collaborative problem solver, as well as an accomplished public servant with a track record of contribution. For all of these reasons, and so many more, I intend to cast my vote for Thomas Frank in West Linn’s upcoming mayoral election. I hope that you will choose to do the same.
