Alain Gracianette wrote a letter of support published in the West Linn Tidings on March 26, 2015:
This note is in support of West Linn City Council President Thomas Frank who is running for the city’s mayoral position. I have known Thomas for years as we both serve on the local chapter of the Saint-Vincent de Paul Society. As (former) Chair of Marylhurst’s MBA Department, I also invited him to teach graduate courses in finance. In both instances, I was able to observe Thomas’ character, interpersonal skills and professional competencies.
Perhaps most importantly, I witnessed the ethical and fair manner by which he deals with his constituents. Thomas is a bright, calm, generous, dedicated, courageous and resilient individual dedicated to making a positive difference in the life of others, as proven by his commitment to the well-being of our great community, dedication to students, or on-going service to the poorest members of society; those served by the SVdP. In other words, he is a true servant leader. I am thus convinced that combined to years of experience in city government, such attributes will allow him to become a strong mayor, one fully dedicated to fellow citizens and their families, and to keeping West Linn as a great place to live.
