Dean Suhr wrote a letter of support published in the West Linn Tidings on March 26, 2015:
As a 20 year West Linn resident my highest desire for the city is to be a peaceful, livable community that functions smoothly. As a former neighborhood association president and an active observer and participant in city politics I know there are many perspectives on each issue … they all need to be heard, understood and respected. The best outcomes are when we have many respectful voices contributing with leadership that is experienced enough to know how to incorporate those inputs into the process.
To preserve the livability of West Linn we as voting residents need to do two things: 1) Vote in the upcoming election in May, and 2) Elect a mayor who will not cave to the loudest voice, someone with city government experience, perspective, patience, and most importantly, represent the mostly silent majority of families who want West Linn to keep being a great place to live. Even in relatively recent history this has not always been the case when we, the voters, let our guard down.I’m asking you to do what’s best for West Linn: vote experience, vote Thomas Frank for mayor. He has and will continue to represents all of us.
Thank you, Jeff! It's a big undertaking. I look forward to the new perspectives I'll gain.
