Karen Taylor wrote a letter of support published in the West Linn Tidings on October 31, 2012:
Many of our citizens are struggling to maintain the standard of living enjoyed prior to the onset of the Great Recession of 2007. With the receipt of the annual tax bill just a few days ago, we are all asked to give a little more. Unfortunately, the cost to our city of just maintaining services at the current level is impossible due the rising PERS costs over which we have no control.
Leadership at the city council level is more important than ever with real-life financial and business experience paramount to running a city under these restrictive financial conditions. Thomas Frank has these qualifications as well as prior experience on the planning commission, budget committee and the police station task force.
We need Thomas’ skills and leadership to maintain and improve the physical and financial well being of West Linn. Please give Thomas Frank your vote and on-going support to build a better West Linn.
